lastminute.com moves into Spain
Lastminute.com has appointed two senior executives to lead the development of localised versions of its travel agency Web site in Spain and the Benelux.
Alfonso Castellano, a former divisional managing director at European travel group TUI, will run the Spanish operation. Alexandra Jankovich, formerly of McKinsey & Co, will head the Benelux expansion.
Lastminute said the moves reinforced its intention to develop a global market for last minute travel and services. The company's shares were unchanged at 332- 1/2 pence, below the 380p at which they were floated on March 14. © Reuters
