A house that has a massive hole in its roof managed to fetch close to a million dollars after it was sold to a keen buyer.
The property at 51 Brisbane Road in St Johns Park, around 37 kilometres west of Sydney, sold for $965,000 in September.
Pictures of the three-bedroom home which sits on a 625 square metre block show a conventional-looking red-brick suburban dwelling that appears ready to move into.

Other pictures of the property, however, reveal a glaring problem.
A large part of the home's roof is missing after damage from a fire, leaving a gaping hole open to the elements.
The kitchen is seen badly damaged with debris strewn everywhere while parts of the wall and tiling appears to have been torn apart.
The room's wooden cabinet also appear to have been ripped apart underneath the exposed beams of the home's ceiling.
The real estate agent who sold the property Blaz Dejanovic told Yahoo that the pictures of the home's structural deficiencies were included in order to be transparent with homeowners.
'We tried to showcase the house exactly the way it is. We don't want to sugarcoat anything hence the photos you can see,' he said.
Despite the lack of a roof, other images of the home show it's decent 'bones', with a single bathroom, garage and large backyard.
The property listed by Blaze Real Estate describes the home as a place that offers 'endless possibilities' that can be transformed 'into the perfect family home or investment property'.
The property agency said the home's major selling point was its location in the thriving western suburbs of Sydney.
The listing also indicated that the home is situated within close proximity to local schools, parks, shops, and public transport.

The shocking state of the property didn't go unnoticed on online with several people declaring the home a 'warzone'.
A reddit user saw the funnier side of the missing part of the home's roof, saying the property has 'a lot of natural light'.
Mr Dejanovic said no open house inspections were held before the home was auctioned off as the property was intended to be sold as a plot of land.
Despite the structural issues of the property several buyers made offers to buy the home, as they were impressed by the property's location in a growing part of Western Sydney (pictured)
Buyers however were able to visit the property and view it from outside as the site was fenced off due to the hazardous materials left behind inside the dwelling.
Despite the maintenance required, 15 buyers expressed their interest in purchasing the home due to the property's location.
The buyer who bought the property intends to knock the home down and build a new one.
The median house price for a three-bedroom home in St Johns Park is $1.04million.
