Young couple blame each other for violent abuse of their baby TWINS which left them them both with fractured skulls

An Oklahoma couple have been arrested and charged with child neglect after their newborn twin boys landed in the hospital with horrific injuries.

According to police in Tulsa, Clorinda 'Chloe' Archuleta, 24, waited several days before seeking medical attention for the injured infants, and then she only took one of the boys to the hospital.

Archuleta’s boyfriend, 24-year-old Joshua Wray, is also facing charges in connection to the alleged child abuse.

Police told the station NewsOn6 Archuleta took her 34-year-old baby boy to St Francis Hospital Thursday evening, telling doctors that the infant had a swollen leg.

According to the mother, the baby's grandmother had brought the child's injury to her attention four days earlier.

Medics who examined the one-month-old baby found that he had a fractured arm, two broken legs and a skull fracture that resulted in brain hemorrhaging.

After learning of the severe injuries, police officers responded to Archuleta’s apartment and took away her other son.

A CT scan done at the hospital revealed that the twin boy also suffered from multiple skull fractures.

Initially, Archuleta, a sales clerk at a Victoria’s Secret store, told police she did not know how her babies got injured.

Blame game: Wray claimed that it was Archuleta who had shaken one of their sons, but the mother insisted that she had seen Wray holding one of the babies by his tiny leg

Innocents: Both children, aged 34 days, suffered skull fractures, and one of them also had a broken arm, two broken legs and brain bleeding

Later, she changed her story, claiming that she had witnessed Wray grabbing one of the children by the leg and holding him in the air but continued allowing the man to care for them.

‘When asked to describe the baby's demeanor she said he “might have” lost consciousness and his eyes rolled back in his head,’ an officer stated.

Joshua Wray was arrested Friday morning, telling police that it was his girlfriend who had shaken one of their children. However, the 24-year-old father admitted that he too may have accidentally caused some of the injuries.

Archuleta and Wray have been charged with felony child neglect. The 24-year-old father of two has a criminal history that includes past conviction on drug and other charges.

The twin boys were welcomed into the world in late December 2013, with Joshua Wray marking the occasion by creating a Facebook profile in honor of his kids.

On her Facebook account, Chloe Archuleta gushed about how happy she was to have her children.

‘They have literally changed my life! Probably saved it ina [sic] way,’ she wrote. ‘Ive [sic] never felt so much love and pride and happiness radiating from one single person as opposed to these two blessings!’
