'Infidels must wear red collars and shave heads': 'Nazi' vision of Muslim Britain from Imam who ran 'Isis' barbecue in Cardiff park

  • Abu Waleed, 35, was seen at event in Cardiff bedecked with Isis flags
  • Al Qaeda splinter group Isis has been joined by three young Welsh jihadis
  • Now a video has emerged outlining Waleed's startling views on society
  • Non-Muslims cannot walk on the pavement and should ride mules, he says
  • They 'should give nice clothes to Muslims and wear mismatched shoes'
  • Moderates furiously criticised Waleed, from Hounslow, west London
  • Lib Dem peer said speech was similar to 'very worst views of Adolf Hitler'

A radical hate preacher linked to the ‘brainwashing’ of three Welsh young jihadis fighting in Iraq and Syria has outlined his chilling vision of a Nazi-style, Islamic state in Britain on video, describing how non-Muslims will be forced to shave their heads and wear a red sash, in a land where the ringing of church bells is banned.

Abu Waleed, 35, a leading preacher for a group banned last week for incitement to terrorism, was seen earlier this month at a barbecue in the Welsh capital where the banner of the Isis terror group – the Al Qaeda splinter group which the trio are fighting for – was flying.

According to friends, former students Reyaad Khan, Nasser Muthana, both 20, and Muthana’s 17-year-old brother Aseel were seen handing out leaflets for a group closely linked to Waleed outside a Cardiff mosque seven months ago. Khan and Nasser appeared on an  Isis recruitment video  this month.

Jobless Waleed – whose real name is Shahid Janjua – lives in a council house  in Hounslow, West London, and claims benefits for himself, his wife and three disabled children.

His group Need4khilafah, whose leader is Anjem Choudary, the firebrand who once led the Al-Muhajiroun group – banned after the deadly July 7 terror attacks in London in 2005 – dreams of the flag of Islam flying over Big Ben.

In the films, he calls for the Queen to wear a burka and brands the Duchess of Cambridge ‘a whore’.

The videos were recovered by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), an American anti-extremism monitoring group.

In the most recent film, made last January, Waleed rants: ‘The kaffir [non-believer], when he walks down the street, he has to wear a red belt around his neck, and he has to have his forehead shaved, and he has to wear two shoes that are different from one another.

‘He [the non-believer] is not allowed to walk on the pavement, he has to walk in the middle of the road, and he has to ride a mule.’

He adds that Christians can have their churches, but not ring the bells. ‘The kuffar [kaffir, plural] can have their churches, but they are not allowed to ring the bell   .  . that is, my dear brothers, the Islamic state.’

The preacher adds that when Britain becomes Muslim, a Christian must open his house and accommodate a Muslim at all times, giving up his bed and sleeping on the floor.

In an earlier video, of a lecture that was delivered in April 2011, Waleed is far more inflammatory.

He tells the male audience: ‘What is the nightmare on Downing Street? The nightmare on Downing Street, my dear brothers, is when the door of 10 Downing Street is kicked down by one muwahid [Muslim], and the Caliph [Islamic ruler] he walks in, and establishes the sharia.

‘The nightmare on Downing Street, my dear brothers, is when one muwahid pulls a rope, and he raises the banner of “there is no god but Allah” above Big Ben.

The nightmare on Downing Street is when one muwahid flies a helicopter all the way to the top of Big Ben, and he removes those numbers and he replaces them with Arabic numbers.

He says that under a British sharia state, non-Muslims will pay a tax called jiziya for protection.

He continues: ‘We are the ones who want to work for the sake of Allah, to establish the manifestation of Islam, and make sure David Cameron comes on his hands and knees, and gives us the jiziya.’

He then says that the Queen and Kate will be forced to wear veils.

SPECIAL BRANCH KNEW OF ISIS TRIP YOUTH

Police and security services face troubling questions over claims a Cardiff teenager who went to fight for Isis was in contact with British anti-terror officers before he entered Syria and Iraq, writes Robert Verkaik.

The Mail on Sunday has learned that before he left the UK, Aseel Muthana, 17, had been contacted by police. He was also due to meet Special Branch officers in Turkey on January 29, before entering Syria to join his brother Nasser, 20, who appeared in a recruitment video.

The revelation from human rights group Cage, which has been working closely with the Muthana family, raises questions about how much police knew about Aseel’s movements. Asim Qureshi, of Cage, said: ‘At  the time Aseel maintained that he was an aid worker, so was worried about why Special Branch may want  to speak with him.’

The boys’ father, Ahmed, had also asked counter-terrorism police to stop his younger son from travelling, and had confiscated his passport, but to no avail.

MP Rob Wilson said: ‘This does raise some significant questions.’ But South Wales Police declined to comment on intelligence issues.

‘Yeah, that’s right, and we cover up all the women and put a niqab on their faces, including Queen Elizabeth and Kate Middleton as well, the whore, the fornicator,’ Waleed says.

Lord Carlile, the Government’s former watchdog on counter-terrorism legislation and a QC, said Waleed’s words border on an incitement to religious hatred, a crime punishable by up to five years in jail.

The Lib Dem peer said: ‘The words used are inflammatory, discriminatory, offensive and ludicrous.

The suggestion that a Christian should have his hair shaved and wear a red belt around his neck reminds me of the very worst views and actions  of Adolf Hitler.’

Waleed was condemned by moderate Muslim leaders. Inayat Bunglawala, of the Islamic group Muslims4UK, said: ‘These discriminatory and frankly reprehensible views should have no place in modern Islamic political thought.

'Those espousing such bigoted views clearly have no understanding or appreciation for the notions of equality, tolerance and respect for others.

'These small extremist groups are a disgrace  and are rightly shunned by the overwhelming majority of British Muslims.’

When The Mail on Sunday tracked Shahid Janjua to an address in Northolt, West London, his mother, Nasreen, 57, answered the door.

She said her son no longer lived there, adding: ‘My son has been brainwashed by [radical cleric] Omar Bakri Mohammed. He used  to attend his talks. I am so glad  that man is not allowed back into  the country.’

Last night, Waleed himself could not be contacted for comment.

The family of exiled hate preacher Omar Bakri Mohammad have applied for his asylum in Britain, it emerged last night. Bakri, who founded Al-Muhajiroun is described as the ‘godfather of British extremism’, is in a Beirut prison after the Lebanese authorities detained him on terrorism charges. His family claim he is being tortured.

Obama sends CIA to UK to prove terrorist 'breeding ground'

Defiant: Obama has sent a special unit of CIA officers to the UK to investigate British Muslim extremists

President Obama has sent  a special unit of CIA officers to the UK to investigate British Muslim extremists amid growing fears in Washington that we are becoming a ‘breeding ground’ for terrorism.

In a pointed snub to MI5, the agents arrived on a ‘lone wolf’ mission to interrogate senior security experts about the radicalisation of UK Muslims.

The mission has been revealed as our security services have been forced to admit they are struggling to keep track of the estimated 500 Britons who have travelled to the Middle East to fight alongside the Islamic  Isis forces in Syria and Iraq.

It is unusual for the CIA to send a team to the UK: the agency usually relies on information passed to it by  MI5 or MI6 or by its agents stationed at the American Embassy in London.

Sources have told The Mail on Sunday that the agents were keen to establish the ‘stability’ of the relationship between the Sunni and Shia branches of Muslims in the UK.

The fighters going out to join Isis have been British-based Sunnis, causing deepening tensions within the community.

Professor Anthony Glees, of the Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies at Buckingham University, said the mission, which took place earlier this year, showed the level of concern in Washington over the issue, which he claimed was rooted in the UK’s ‘lax’ immigration policies.

‘The US is worried about the British situation. They fear there might be a knock-on effect for them,’ Prof Glees said.

‘The throat-cutting between Sunnis and Shias in Iraq and Syria has not yet spread to the UK, but it is a real threat. It is conceivable you could see Shia “hit squads” in Britain targeting Sunnis preparing to go out to the conflict zones to fight.’

BRITON PREPARED FOR JIHAD BY TAKING UP CAGE FIGHTING

One of the British Isis fighters  seen in a recruitment video made sure he was ready for combat by taking up cage fighting.

Reyaad Khan, 20, chose to prepare himself by practising mixed martial arts (MMA) at his local gym in Cardiff. The sport involves fighting in ‘cages’ – round cushioned floors which are surrounded by plastic and metal fencing.

Last night Henry Saye, head coach at the £30-a-month gym, said Khan was short and podgy as a teenager. But Mr Saye said he was ‘in good shape’ when he last saw him – just weeks before he left Britain with his friend, 20-year-old Nasser Muthana, who reportedly also took part in MMA sessions.

The 34-year-old trainer, who works at the Brotherhood gym near  Khan’s Cardiff home, believes he was radicalised a year before he left Britain.

He said: ‘He suddenly changed. On Facebook, he started ranting about the US and the way that the West treated Muslims. He hadn’t been like that before. Almost overnight, he became a reactionary.’

He said: ‘The Americans regard the UK as a disaster because of our lax stance on immigration which has allowed this militancy to take hold.

‘Frankly, they would not be doing their jobs properly if it did not do this – forming an objective view of the situation outside of the reports they get from MI5 and their officers at the US Embassy in London.’

Last night a source at the CIA insisted British intelligence had been informed of ‘all outside contacts’ the agents made in  the UK.

However, the sources also admitted that the move revealed a growing lack of trust in Washington over MI5 and MI6’s ability to provide a reliable assessment of the security threat presented by young Muslims under the sway of imams who are radicalised and then recruited to fight in religious wars around the globe.

The Obama administration has become increasingly anxious that young American Muslims could follow the same pattern.

There are strong links between British and American radicals and the sources say the CIA feels British efforts to identify and unmask them have been inadequate.

A CIA and a Home Office spokesman declined to comment.
