Just take a gander at this... it's a flying dog! Fleeting moment hundreds of geese fly in formation that looks just like Tin Tin's pet Snowy

- Bizarre formation appeared to form ears, mouth nose and even its eyes
- People said it looks like anything from Scooby Doo to Tin Tin's dog Snowy
This is the moment hundreds of migrating geese formed the shape of a giant flying dog in the sky.
The bizarre formation, complete with ears, mouth, nose and even eyes, was spotted by engineer Gerald Robinson while out taking pictures of rutting stags.
Friends have told dad-of-three Gerald, 54, that the shape looks like everything from Scooby Doo to Tin Tin's dog Snowy, while others say it is the dog from The NeverEnding Story.
The amateur photographer began taking photos of the migrating skein of pink-footed geese over Big Moor, Sheffield, but only noticed the unusual formation when he checked the camera.

Gerald, from Rotherham, Yorkshire, said: 'I was surprised to see a group of so many geese as I thought it quite early in the year for them to be migrating, so I started taking a few pictures as there were so many.
'When I looked down at the camera and saw the shape in one of the shots, I couldn't believe it. Straight away I noticed how much it looked like a dog - it's uncanny.
'It was most surprising because of just how many birds there were who managed to do this, there were hundreds of them, possibly 500 or more.
'They must have held that pose for only a second so it was a very lucky shot really, one in a million as it even has a stray goose forming the eye!
Friends of the photographer have said that the shape looks like everything from Scooby Doo to Tin Tin's dog Snowy (pictured), while others say it is the dog from The NeverEnding Story
'All my friends found it hilarious and have taken turns guessing at which dog it most looks like. At first I thought it was Snowy from Tin Tin but after Googling The NeverEnding Story, I have to agree with the friend who suggested that one.'
Gerald captured the pictures on the morning of Saturday October 17 using a Nikon D300 as the birds flew overhead.
He believes they were migrating between Iceland or Greenland and Lancashire, where in 2004 it is estimated 44,000 wintered there.
Gerald said: 'It was incredible to watch and it's even more amazing to see how they do this every year using a sat nav in their heads that's more accurate than the one in my car!'
