Stormtrooper toilet breaks, an epic light sabre battle and Darth Vader unmasked: Star Wars fans dominate second day of London Comic Con
A short time ago at a convention centre not-so-far away, Jedis clashed with the evil Sith lords for ultimate bragging rights on the second day of London Comic Con.
Tens of thousands of fans flocked to the ExCel Centre today, where there was an overwhelming Star Wars theme.
The costumed Jedis, Darth Vaders and Stormtroopers were most probably inspired by the release of the new trailer for the seventh instalment of the famous space-adventure franchise, the Force Awakens, which has already topped 40million views on YouTube.
They were joined by other die-hard fans dressed up as everything from Toothless from the How To Train Your Dragon movies to Slender Man, the embodiment of a terrifying urban legend.
London Comic Con is held twice a year and has been growing 'exponentially' since it kicked off in the late 2000s, spokesperson Gary Burns told MailOnline.
He expects more than 130,000 fans to walk through the doors of the ExCel Centre in East London by the end of the three-day even tomorrow evening.
An epic battle between noble Jedis and evil Sith Lords - swathed in billowing black - took place on the second day of London Comic Con today
The action got a bit too much for the Dark Side's evil henchmen, the Stormtroopers, who needed a quick toilet break before getting involved in the battle
On this occasion, the Stormtroopers were being led by a very young and unmasked Darth Vader, also known as six-year-old Sam Pick
