Attempted murder charge: Paw Eh, 31, allegedly fed poison to her four-year-old son and tried to feed it to her two other children
A Texas mother is accused of trying to force her three children ingest ant poison.
Paw Eh, 31, of Dallas allegedly fed poison to her four-year-old son and unsuccessfully tried to make her seven-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl swallow the same potentially lethal spoonful.
The Dallas News reports that the four-year-old was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but he has since been stabilized.
When police arrived at the home in Lake Highlands, the 12-year-old told police that her mother said earlier in the day that she planned to kill her and her two siblings before killing herself.
The girl also told police that the mother put ant poison on a spoon with water and tried to force her four-year-old to drink it but he kept his mouth closed.
The girl said that when the boy refused to drink the liquid, his mother slapped him on the cheek and forced the poison into his mouth.
'My mom wants to kill us with poison powder that kills ants and stuff,' the seven-year-old boy told police.
While police said that the two older children were handed over to family members on Saturday night, a spokesperson from Child protective Services said that the children are in CPS custody.
Eh has been charged with attempted capital murder and her bail was set at $500,000. Eh has no prior criminal history in Dallas.
One of Eh's neighbors named Moogay said that Eh suffered from medical problems and that she would sometimes get red in the face, pass out, and fail to remember what happened the next day.
He said that her husband would often supervise her due to her bizarre medical condition.
Moogay also said that he and his family were shocked by the alleged incident because Eh seemed normal.
