Huge fight over a stuffed TOY FROG breaks out between teenagers and staff at a country show - before angry man stomps on a brawler's head

Stuffed animals are supposed to be a comfort item, but a plush toy frog has been the centre of a violent outburst at a country show.

Footage of the shocking brawl shows a group of staff accusing some teenagers of stealing a toy frog from Albury Showgrounds, on the border of New South Wales and Victoria.

After hurling verbal abuse at the youths, several adult staff members can be seen dragging a 17-year-old boy onto the grass before punching him onto the ground and stomping on his head.

A witness who is friends with the teenagers captured the attack on her mobile, and the vision has since been handed onto police.

'We are appalled adults would bash a kid like that,' the witness told Border Mail.

A woman approached the teenagers near the showground canteen at about 11pm on Saturday night, demanding to see the boy who she believes stole the toy.

After saying he didn't know where the accused thief was, a man threatened him while holding a torch against his neck before unleashing the brutal attack.

'Why do they think they can hit kids?' a distraught girl asks the show staff.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Albury police for comment.  

The Albury show, first held in 1860, offers agricultural shows, fireworks, rides and live music.
