Disgruntled Wallabies fan vents his frustration by SMASHING his television in the gutter after Rugby World Cup defeat

Australians are still reeling in the aftermath of the Wallabies loss to the All Blacks in the rugby world cup final and one fan seems to have taken the defeat harder than others.

Seamus Carey, wearing a Wallabies shirt, showed his anger at the result by hurling his television on the ground and walking away in disgust, leaving it lying in a gutter.

The Wallabies fan - believed to be from Sydney - is thought to be living in New Zealand, and his inability to escape gloating All Blacks fans may have contributed to Mr Carey's frustration.

He did not hesitate, throwing the television to the ground. The video was posted to social media on Sunday, hours after the Wallabies were defeated

He took to social media to share footage of the television smash on Sunday and by Monday afternoon, the nine-second video had been viewed more than 610,000 times and shared more than 8,000 times on Facebook.

Perhaps the popularity of the video is not surprising, as it could appeal to the emotions of commiserating Wallabies fans or celebrating All Blacks supporters.

One Facebook user commented on the video saying: 'That is the funniest video ever. Made my morning'.

'Well glad my pain and frustration has entertained you,' was Mr Carey's response.

It is unclear if the television was in working order or broken before it was thrown to the ground, or if the offending appliance was used to watch the final.

The Wallabies were defeated by the All Blacks 34-17 in the world cup final, played at Twickenham Stadium in England during the early hours of Sunday, Australian time.
