The runway is completely invisible as the aircraft makes its gradual descent towards the tarmac.
Suddenly the runway lights slowly begin to come into focus as the plane eventually touches down and the pilot applies the brake.
According to Mr Stone, the video was captured on a previously foggy day.
However the pilot was in the air today, and successfully flew a plane from Rome to Gatwick Airport.
On Twitter, Mr Stone explained that he had been instructed to 'go-around', as the fog had made today's original attempt to land very difficult.
The pilot did bring the aircraft down safely on his second attempt however.
Interestingly an air traffic controller commented on the video saying: 'That's a hell of a lot more than we can see at the minute.'

Fog has disrupting flights at UK airports for a second day and around 45 flights - equivalent to 10 per cent of departures - have been cancelled from Heathrow Airport.
London City Airport reported that a 'considerable number' of flights have been cancelled, while Gatwick also expected to have cancellations due to poor visibility caused by the fog.
Flights from other UK airports to the capital and some European cities were also disrupted by the thick fog.
Passengers are being advised to check the status of their flight with the airline before travelling to the airport.
