So who is in the wrong this time? Cyclist colliding with pedestrian sparks new debate after THAT taxi video divided the internet
- Video shows pedestrian crossing road and running into path of a cyclist
- Cyclist falls off bike and pedestrian stumbles to pavement and crouches
- Clip has emerged days after video showing a cyclist colliding with a taxi
Dashcam footage showing a cyclist colliding with a pedestrian in London has sparked a new debate - just days after a similar video caused havoc online.
The video of the crash, which occurred on Peckham High Street on November 25, shows a pedestrian attempting to cross the road and running into the path of a cyclist.
There is little that can be done to avoid the collision and the cyclist rides into the pedestrian in the middle of the road.

As the cyclist gets closer, the pedestrian runs into his path and there is little either can do to avoid the crash
The cyclist falls off his bike in the crash while the pedestrian stumbles to the side of the road and crouches down in order to regain his composure.
The short clip concludes with no confrontation between the pair as the cyclist mounts his bike and puts his glasses back on.
The video is comparable to an incident, which took place on Edgware Road, when an unnamed cyclist appeared to try and undertake a cab turning left and collided with the vehicle.
The clip has sparked an online debate between two groups on Reddit - one side who are sympathising with the cyclist and the other who believe him to be in the wrong.
One user wrote: 'The pedestrian is clearly at fault as he is crossing on his own accord using no legitimate crossing whatsoever and then ran into the cyclist's trajectory.'
Another said: 'From cycling to work most days it's the pedestrians that are the worst, stepping out/crossing at red men without looking.'

Other users were quick to blame the cyclist however, and one explained why they believed him to be in the wrong. The viewer wrote: 'Clearly the cyclist. For not exercising due care and attention.
'He should've seen the pedestrian when he was in the middle of the road, and slowed down accordingly. What if it had been a child and car?! No doubt this will be an unpopular opinion.'
Another said: 'Given the possibly slippery conditions the cyclist should've allowed for greater stopping distance and ridden at a more appropriate speed while exercising greater caution overall.'
Other viewers placed blame in both camps. One wrote: 'Both were chancing it, I think, but my impression is that the cyclist was going too quickly given his presumably limited vision.
'The pedestrian created a hazard, but it was also a hazard the cyclist should have been ready to deal with.'

Speaking to MailOnline after watching the footage, Gary Rae, campaigns director for road safety charity, Brake, said: 'The man on foot really ought not have been in the middle of the road.
'It appears, given the zig-zag lines in the foreground, that there was a crossing, which would have been the safest place for him to cross. Incidents like this tend to polarise views.
'The fact is, we all need to take more care on the roads.'
The previous incident captured on the Edgware Road was recorded back in May but was only posted to YouTube by Daz Lin on November 22.
In the short video the unnamed cyclist appears to try and undertake the cab as the car veers left into a side street.

The rider appears to misjudge the situation however and bounces off the bonnet of the car.
The footage shows the cyclist dusting himself off after the crash and shaking the taxi driver's hand.
He can be heard saying, 'Yeah, no, that's fine. Take care' before waving goodbye and cycling off.
Sharing the video online, Daz Lin wrote: 'A scary moment from my morning commute. Could have ended a lot worse.
'Nobody seemed hurt and both parties dealt with the situation...with a handshake.'
He added the warning: 'Cyclists and drivers lookout for each other on the road!'
