Now THAT'S a dirt bike! Brazilian cyclist plunges into muddy water while trying to cross fast-flowing river

A cyclist got the shock of his life after plunging head first into a muddy river. 

The man, who is believed to be called Kalio, was out for a bike ride with a friend through what appears to be a national park in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

The pair were trying to cautiously cross a fast-flowing stream when they ran into difficulty.

In a short 13 second clip of the incident, which was posted to Rumble, Kalio is seen carefully trying to cross the water while his pal looks on from the grassy verge.

When he is nearly halfway across the river, his bike veers to the right and he falls down a huge hole.

While it is unclear whether Kalio was hurt during the incident, the cyclist is seen standing up at the end of the video. 

Hopefully it is only his ego and bike which will need a bit of TLC.
