A bed in a room shared with two 'clean and tidy' male strangers which has gone on the rental market for £300 a month suggests London's rental market has plummeted to a new low.

With rental prices averaging at £692 per month for a double room, the average Londoner is definitely feeling the squeeze, particularly in when you add in bills, travel and living expenses.

For those desperate enough to sacrifice their privacy in order to live in the capital, a flat share which is being advertised in the Stratford area may be the answer.

Located in Stratford, East London, the property boasts '5 bedrooms', '2 bathrooms', a 'fully fitted kitchen' and 'wifi' in a 'welcoming environment' with all bills included for only £303 pm for one of the rooms. 

But the catch is the renter would have to share their room with two male strangers - which means virtually no privacy, even in their own bedroom.

The advert reads: 'I have a bed in a triple room to share with two boys in a clean and tidy flat with fully fitted kitchen and a welcoming environment.'

The advert goes on to say the flat is just a few minutes walk from Stratford Station and is close to the Olympic Park and Westfield shopping centre.
