Yancy Carden was taken into custody alongside his wife over an unpaid bar bill. Carden and the officer then had a disagreement in the jail cell
The club called the police and responding officer James Boyd handcuffed the pair and took them into custody.
Surveillance footage from the jail cell the pair were taken to shows Carden handcuffed to the wall while sitting on a bench.
He begins to repeatedly kick the bench before being warned to stop damaging police department property.
Boyd then tells Carden if he does not stop he will use his taser, to which the arrested man replies saying: 'Yes but you will lose your job. '
When Carden stands up to confront the officer, he pulls out the taser and fires it, despite the fact the man is handcuffed
As Carden falls to the floor, his wife Kelli can be heard screaming in the background for the officer to leave her husband alone
Carden then accuses Boyd of being like the police in Ferguson, Missouri, a reference to the Michael Brown case, and the officer replies: 'And you are like the guys in Ferguson, Missouri.'
Carden then tries to stand up to confront Boyd but the officer then produces his taser gun and uses it on him.
Mrs Carden can be heard in the background screaming and pleading with the officer to leave her husband alone.
She says: 'Do not tase my husband. Stop it!', before adding 'let go' as she starts to sob.
As Carden lies back on the bench after being struck, Boyd can be heard saying: 'You stop what you are doing.'

According to KMOV, Carden was taken to hospital the next morning where he was treated for his injuries.
After he was criminally charged with a felony count of damaging government property and a misdemeanor count of battery and he pleaded guilty to both.
Officer Boyd no longer works for Washington Park Police Department and he was never criminally charged.
It is believed Carden had been seeking damages of $100,000.
