A schoolboy has been praised for his generosity after he started using his pocket money to buy breakfast for two homeless men he passes on his way to school every day.
Hamish Anderson, 13, from Windmill Hill, Bristol, cycles past rough sleepers Stuart and Philip every day on his journey to school and two weeks ago he struck up a conversation with them.
When the thoughtful teenager discovered the pair never eat breakfast he began a new daily routine of buying them bacon and sausage sandwiches from a local cafe.

When the thoughtful teenager discovered the pair never eat breakfast he began a new daily routine of buying them bacon and sausage sandwiches from the Princes Pantry cafe (pictured)
After he ran out of pocket money last week he even held a charity head shave to raise cash to ensure he can continue to buy the pair their breakfast.
When the local cafe in Bristol found out about his kind-hearted deed, they started giving him discounted sandwiches - and put a collection tin on the counter at Princes Pantry.
Now the teenager has raised more than £100 and is hoping to now help more homeless people in city.
Hamish said: 'I started because I kept walking past these two men and one day I asked one of them what they had eaten for breakfast and he said that he didn't really eat breakfast and that made me sad.

'So I started to buy sandwiches with my loose change. One of the men, Philip, has a dog, and sometimes I buy an extra sandwich for him because I don't think the dog can get very much food.
'One day Huw Lloyd at Princes Pantry asked me if I enjoyed the sandwiches and I told them who they were for and he has started to give me a discount.
'I didn't think it would get this big, but I am happy to help. It makes me happy to know that I am doing something, but sad because so many people are homeless.'
When Hamish started helping the men more than two weeks ago, the sandwiches cost £5 a day from the small car park sandwich shop.

But after staff found out he wasn't scoffing them himself, they dropped the price to £3 for two sandwiches - one bacon and one sausage.
Hamish gives them to Stuart and Philip, who sit near the Princes Street Bridge and Pero's Bridge in the city.
After he ran out of pocket money last week, he decided to raise money for his sandwich-run by shaving his head, collecting £90 for his cause.
'It is in a special tin which my sister Kitty made for me to keep the money to pay for the sandwiches in,' he said. 'Huw and Matt from the café put a message out on Facebook about what I was doing and I have had at least £20 added to it by other customers, which is nice.
'Homelessness does really concern me and I have watched a lot of documentaries on it.
'There is not a way out for many of the people and most have lost their ID cards which mean they can't get in to hostels overnight.
'It makes me angry at the government, that they aren't doing more to help.'

One of the homeless men, Stuart, said Hamish had helped him more than anyone else in the last 35 years.
He said: 'I have been homeless for more than 35 years and this lad is the kindest person I know.
'I am invisible to most people who walk past, but his kindness warms my heart. If there were more people like him then there wouldn't be any homelessness.'
Cafe co-owner Matt Allen said he was 'beyond impressed' by Hamish's attitude, and was in talks with him to set up a a crowd funding page to collect more donations.
He said: 'We had no idea what he was up to. We thought he was taking the sandwiches to school to give to his mates or something. Hamish is such an inspiration.'
Hamish's dad, James, is very proud of his son, and thanked the cafe owners for their help.
He said: 'It is wonderful. Most people wouldn't stop to help, but Hamish does. Me and his mum are very proud of him, of course.'
