Adacia Avery Chambers, 25, pleaded not guilty to four counts of second-degree murder and 42 charges of assault and battery in court Wednesday
The woman charged with killing four people including a two-year-old child after crashing her car into the Oklahoma State University homecoming parade has pleaded not guilty.
Adacia Avery Chambers, 25, from Stillwater, is facing 46 charges including four counts of second degree murder following the fatal crash on October 24 last year.
Chambers did not speak during her arraignment on Wednesday in Payne County District Court, but attorney Tony Coleman read out her pleas to judge Stephen Kistler.
Chambers had previously waived her right to a preliminary hearing to determine whether there is sufficient evidence that a crime occurred and probable cause the defendant committed it.
While a date for the trial has yet to be set, attorneys will return to court May 13 to discuss whether Chambers should be given an expert investigator at state expense, The Oklahoman reports.
Coleman had previously argued that Chambers is mentally ill and was suffering some sort of breakdown at the time of the crash after leaving work because she was distressed.
District Attorney Laura Austin Thomas said she expected more than 100 witnesses to be called during the trial, which she believes will last a month.

Chambers is accused of driving her car into the Oklahoma State University homecoming parade in October last year, killing four people including a two-year-old
While Chambers admits being behind the wheel of the vehicle, her lawyer claims she is mentally ill and 'blacked out' before the crash took place
Evidence that Thomas plans to present will include recreations of the crash scene, she added.
Chambers is accused of driving around a police barricade, over an officer's motorcycle and into the crowd at OSU's homecoming parade.
An elderly married couple and an MBA student were killed instantly while a two-year-old boy later died in hospital. Nearly 50 people in the crowd, including young children, were seriously injured.
Toddler Nash Lucas, Nikita Nakal, a 23-year-old MBA student at the University of Central Oklahoma and Bonnie and Marvin Stone, both 65, of Stillwater, were killed in the crash.
Chambers was initially charged with DUI, but subsequent tests showed she was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

According to her lawyer, Chambers had been feeling suicidal before the accident and had left work in tears around half an hour before after something distressed her.
Coleman said his client does not remember anything between leaving work and the moment police were pictured escorting her from her vehicle.
Coleman has asked for extra time in preparing his defense, saying his team 'need to conduct our own investigation' before the case goes to trial.
A pretrial conference is set for June 1. Prosecutors have asked that the case does not go to trial around the anniversary of the deaths.
