Jarrod Bingham,of Reptile Relocations in Victoria, said it was the biggest snake (Pictured) he had been confronted with in his 10-year career, describing it as a 'monster'
He was called to the Rockbank home after a neighbour noticed the snake slither under a fence and disappear.
Footage shows Mr Bingham trying to coax the snake out of its hiding place and into his bag as it escaped and became camouflaged in the garden.
It took three attempts for the snake catcher to finally seize the elusive reptile and place it into his bag.
At one point he even had the beast by the end of its tail as it struggled to stay inside its adoptive home.
Mr Bingham eventually captured the brown snake using a squeegee which he used to trap the snake on the ground.
He said the giant snake was 'easily' the largest he had come across in his decade in the business.

It was easily pushing six-foot. It's probably the biggest snake I've caught in my career. The residents were over the moon when I was able to finally catch it,' he told Yahoo7.
Live footage of the reptile rescue mission was posted to Mr Bingham's Facebook, which showed frightened family members watch on as he wrangled the snake.
The brown snake continued to fight against his capture even while in the bag, which the catcher struggled to carry.
'Capture of a monster... The bar has been raised... What a snake,' Mr Bingham said of his day's work.

The sympathetic reptile expert fed the snake water to cool it down after its capture.
Mr Bingham is also a Councillor in Local Government for Moorabool Shire Council, and at the end of the year he will be running for state government elections.
His passion has been to literally catch snakes, now his turning all his focus and attention on 'catching those snakes out in parliament,' he told Daily Mail Australia.
