Shocking moment a motorist drives the WRONG WAY along a dual carriageway – narrowly missing another car - after turning the wrong way out of a junction

This is the shocking moment a mother-of-one narrowly avoided a head-on crash after a car drove the wrong way along a dual carriageway.

The video shows a car carelessly driving on the wrong side of the road after turning the wrong way out of a junction.

Sarah Carter, 42 said she 'couldn't believe her eyes' when she was forced to slam on the brakes as the oncoming car then performed an illegal U-turn infront of her.   

The dashcam footage was recorded by Sarah who drives between 45,000 and 55,000 miles a year for her cake decorating business.

However Sarah says she wasn't surprised by the event as she believes it represents a declining quality of driving in the city.

Sarah told Lincolnshire Live: 'I rolled my eyes and called her a few choice words.

'It didn't surprise me – I am no longer surprised by the standard of driving in Lincoln.

'People in Lincoln just don't seem to be able to understand how the roads work.  

'I drive between 45,000 and 55,000 miles a year just in my job alone, and every day I witness dangerous driving.

'I love driving but other people are ruining it.'  

The oncoming car then drives down the wrong side of the road and Sarah has to slam on her brakes in order to avoid a head-on crash

The motorist then performs an illegal U-turn inches from Sarah's bonnet. She says she 'couldn't believe her eyes' when watching the event unfold
