West Midlands Police have arrested three people on suspicion of murdering mother-of-two Sarbjit Kaur.
Two men, aged 42 and 32, and a 39-year-old woman were detained at addresses across the Wolverhampton area on Tuesday night.
The trio were being quizzed by officers in police custody today.
Chief Inspector Chris Mallett, from Force CID, said: 'We are determined to establish the truth around the death of Mrs Kaur and these arrests are a significant development in our investigation.
'However, we continue to appeal for anyone with information which may assist us in this investigation to get in touch by calling us on 101.'
Earlier today police said they believed the mother-of-two could have been killed by one of her customers.
The 38-year-old died of asphyxiation and was discovered deceased by her company director husband last month.
West Midlands Police said the mother-of-two had been assaulted and may have been lying dead for hours at the sprawling £250,000 home before she was found
Her husband Gurpreet Singh, 42, had said goodbye to her at 9am that day as he headed off for work at the construction company he owns.
He picked up his 11-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son from school in the afternoon and returned home to discover his wife's body at around 4pm.
An inquest heard Mrs Kaur ran a sari-making business from a converted garage and her body had been found in the doorway of the workroom.

Black Country Coroners Court was also told a post mortem had revealed she had died as a result of asphyxiation.
After the hearing, police said it was possible the businesswoman had been murdered by one of her own customers.
Detectives are also still probing whether she was the victim of a botched burglary after a quantity of jewellery and thousands of pounds in cash was found missing.
Detective Inspector James Munro, from West Midlands Police CID, said there had been a spate of burglaries in the area involving Asian gold.
He added: 'But none of them resulted in murder, which makes this case out of the ordinary.
'We are continuing to follow a number of lines of inquiry, including that she may have been murdered by one of her customers.
'We are making good progress.
'We would appeal to anyone who knew Mrs Kaur, or used her business, to come forward and speak to us.'
According to residents, Mrs Kaur had arrived in the country from the Punjab in India around three years ago, and married Mr Singh in July 2015.
It's believed that his first wife, who is supposedly the mother of his two children, died of a sudden illness in India in December 2014.
The inquest was adjourned for two weeks.
