Impatient boy, two, tries (and tries… and tries again) to blow out the candle on his birthday cake… before giving up and trying to tuck in with the flame still ALIGHT

A hilarious video shows a boy at his birthday party trying his best to blow out a candle on his cake - before giving up and trying to eat it while the flame is still alight.

Little Sawyer, who is believed to be from America, is shown being presented with a cupcake complete with thick icing.

Topped with a lit up number two candle for his second birthday, his party guests are heard singing happy birthday to him as the cake is placed in front of him.

Before the cake has even been set on the table he is already seen huffing and puffing away energetically. 

Not quite getting the hang of it, the candle refuses to go out and the little lad begins to grow impatient, standing on his feet and clutching onto the cake as his guests begin to laugh.

However it all becomes too much effort so he decides to abandon his mission - and eat his cake with the candle flame still burning.

Luckily his party guests stop him just in time before Sawyer potentially burns his face and he sets it down on the plate again.

Finally though, after one last puff the candle finally goes out and he is allowed to eat the sweet treat as a reward for his efforts.

Clearly the hard work paid off as he looks satisfied as he tucks into his birthday cake at last.
