Poor taste! German sweet firm accused of RACISM for posting chocolate marshmallow on day of Meghan Markle's wedding to Prince Harry

A German confectionery giant has been accused of racism after posting a picture of a piece of chocolate in a wedding dress as Meghan Markle walked down the aisle to marry Prince Harry.
The company made the tasteless blunder on the day of the royal wedding when they posted an image of a chocolate covered marshmallow wearing a tiara and holding a bouquet of flowers inside a church.
The mock-up was labelled 'racist' after it appeared on a Facebook page for Super Dickmann, which is well known for making marshmallow treats.

Super Dickmann's post of a Schokokuss (chocolate kiss) was posted with the caption: 'What are you looking at? Wouldn't you also want to be Meghan today?'
The words 'Ein Schaum in Weiss' or 'A Foam in White' appear above her head in elaborate lettering with the picture posted on the same day as the happy couple were married in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Facebook and Twitter users responded with outrage with one calling the image 'racist cr*psh*t', saying: 'Saw Dickmann's commercial and want to set something on fire.'

The firm has reportedly made similar blunders in the past using the term 'Negerkuss' for one of their products.
The company quickly apologised for the Meghan Markle chocolate marshmallow gaff, saying: 'Super Dickmann's world is colourful and diverse and far from racist thoughts.'
The caption translated read: 'What are you looking at? Wouldn't you also want to be Meghan today?'

Facebook users did not think much of the apology, with Stefan Mesch writing: 'Pathetic campaign, pathetic response. I hope there will be financial consequences for you.'
Throughout history there have been many cases of chocolate being used in insensitive and racist remarks.
Meghan Markle, whose mother Doria Ragland is African American, has been open about the racist abuse she has received since she and Harry were engaged in November last year.
