'I don't care!': Michelle Wolf shuts down The View's Meghan McCain after she critiques and insinuates that her WHCD remarks will prevent future comedians from doing the dinner

Michelle Wolf shut down Meghan McCain after she tried to insinuate that it was the comedian's fault that the White House Correspondents Dinner may not feature other funny folk for future events.

The 32-year-old appeared on The View on Wednesday morning to defend her remarks from the controversial dinner last month. 

Her biggest grievance appeared to be the constant false allegations that she had been making fun of Sarah Huckabee Sander's appearance during her time on stage.

'I thought you were smarter,' Wolf shared of critics who missed that she was pointing at how resourceful the Press Secretary was.

'Just listen to the joke, I think it said more about them.' 

Wolf had compared Huckabee Sanders to a dowdy character from The Handmaid's Tale. She said:'I actually really like Sarah. I think she's very resourceful. But she burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smoky eye. Like, maybe she's born with it, maybe it's lies. It's probably lies.' 

In the clip of the show, most of the other host repeatedly share how they found the comments tame and funny, but Meghan McCain was visibly not commenting much until she offered her own remarks. 

'I actually said that I thought your stand-up routine was a gift to the Trump administration in that liberals were criticizing you as well,' said McCain.

Almost immediately, Wolf shared 'I mean, I don't care,' before adding that 'it's not like a great job.'

She added: 'I mean, I think everyone who's ever done it has been like, '"Great, now I don't have to do it again."'

When mentioning the gift aspect of McCain's comment, Wolf was adamant that there were other contributors to Trump's continued existence. 

'I don’t think it was a gift to Trump anymore than every single news show—and I put that in quotes, ‘news’—is a gift to Trump,' Wolf added. 

Wolf and the other host continued on with their conversation discussing the comedian's work and her upcoming show 'The Break' which premieres on Netflix, Sunday.
