New York Mets great Lenny Dykstra, 55, allegedly threatened an Uber driver and held a gun to his head on Wednesday morning
Troubled New York Mets great Lenny Dykstra is in hot water with the law once again after he allegedly threatened an Uber driver and held a gun to his head.
Dykstra, 55, has been charged with making terrorist threats - a felony - and faces a slew of drug possession charges following the incident on Wednesday morning.
The Uber driver, a 47-year-old New Jersey man, told police he picked up Dykstra in Linden.
Dykstra allegedly became violent when the Uber driver refused to change his destination and threatened to kill him with his gun.
The driver went straight to the Linden Police Department, where he repeatedly honked his horn to get the officers' attention. He then left the car and fled.
Linden was taken into custody around 3.30am.
Although a weapon was not recovered, police did find cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy on the three-time MLB All-Star.

Dkystra pleaded no contest in 2012 to charges of lewd conduct and assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly held a knife to a woman he had hired for housework on Craigslist and forced her to give him a massage.
