How did he WALK AWAY from that? Shocking aftermath of horror crash where HGV landed on roof of Range Rover… but the driver escaped with a few scratches

These are the amazing scenes following a crash where a Range Rover which became lodged in the roof of a lorry in Staffordshire. 

The incident happened yesterday on the A5127 near Lichfield around 3.30pm. 

Emergency services found the lorry on its side with the driver trapped - but on closer inspection they saw the emergency hazard lights of the Range Rover blinking inside the truck . 

The HGV crashed onto its side on the outskirts of Lichfield in Staffordshire 

Amazingly, the passenger and driver of this Range Rover struck by the truck walked away unharmed while the driver of the truck had to be cut free from his cab 

The Air Ambulance service tweeted: 'On scene at A5127 nr Lichfield for a car under a lorry: working with West Midlands Ambulance Service, Staffordshire Fire and Staffordshire Police.'

A spokeswoman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service told the Birmingham Mail: 'We were called just after 3.30pm to the junction of Birmingham Road and Knowle Lane after reports of a lorry on its side. 

'On arrival the occupants of a car also involved in the incident were out of the vehicle and walking around. But the lorry driver, a man in his 20s, was trapped in his vehicle for around 60 minutes.

'Our crews worked with Staffordshire Fire Service to release him.He sustained a suspected shoulder injury and a facial injury. He was given pain relief on scene and was fully immobilised.' 

The driver was taken to hospital by ambulance.
