Video has emerged of the last known sighting of a Kansas mom-of-three as she checked into a Quality Inn in Missouri for three hours, before vanishing on her way to seek mental health help in Alabama. 

Marilane Carter, 36, vanished without a trace ten days ago while travelling from her home in Overland Park, Kansas, to Birmingham, Alabama, to seek treatment for anxiety and to visit family. 

Her desperate family are begging authorities to search an area of the Mississippi River in Memphis, Tennessee, where Carter's cellphone last pinged, and near to where she last spoke to her mom.

This comes as police were tipped off about a possible sighting of the missing mom at a Shell gas station in DeSoto County.

Carter left her home on the night of August 1 to head to Birmingham where her parents live and where she hoped to seek treatment at a hospital where she once worked.

She was last seen on surveillance footage checking into the hotel in West Plains, Missouri, the following morning. 

In the footage, Carter is seen walking across the parking lot of the hotel with her luggage before entering the building and approaching the reception where she is greeted by hotel staff. 

She checked out of the hotel three hours later and left in her car.

The 36-year-old, married to Rev. Adam Carter of the Leawood Baptist Church in Kansas, was last heard from later that night.

In the footage, Carter is seen walking across the parking lot of the hotel with her luggage

She then entered the building and approached the reception where she was greeted by hotel staff

Her husband Adam said he had spoken with her on the night of August 2 and his wife's cell phone went dead.

A short time later, Carter spoke to her mom Marlene Mesler on the phone.

Her mother said her daughter told her she was lost before her phone went dead somewhere on the I-55 bridge.  

This was the last time she was heard from and her credit cards have not been used since. 

Her family are calling on authorities to search the Mississippi River around the bridge close to where the missing mom's cell phone last pinged. 

'We need volunteers to help us search right around the I-55 bridge at Memphis,' her concerned husband Adam told WMC Action News 5.

Authorities share that Carter, a mother-of-three and married to Rev. Adam Carter of the Leawood Baptist Church in Kansas, has made concerning statements to her family

'We need people with boats and very good sonar and experience navigating the Mississippi River.' 

Crittenden County deputies and Carter's distraught husband and parents have searched under the bridge and the surrounding areas in the hunt for the missing mom.

The Coast Guard told WMC Monday they were not likely to search the river without evidence a person or vehicle went into it. 

No evidence of her whereabouts has been found.    

Police were alerted to a possible sighting of the mom at a Shell gas station in DeSoto County but she was not captured on surveillance video so it is not clear if it was her.  

Fears are growing for the missing mom who authorities said made concerning statements to her family in the lead-up to her disappearance.  

'Our three kids miss her,' her husband Adam told WMC Action News. 

'I miss her. We want to have her home.'   

Carter is described as being 5'8' and approximately 130lbs. She was last seen wearing a green t-shirt and black yoga pants and is driving a gray 2011 GMC Acadia with Kansas plates.
