Furious tourists clash with airport border officers after they were 'asked to give TIPS while going through passport control'

Footage of an argument between Chinese tourists and customs at a Vietnamese airport has emerged online.
The group claimed they were angry after some of the members were asked to tip customs officials, the People's Daily Online reports.
The incident allegedly occurred on May 2 at Cam Ranh International Airport in Nha Trang, as the group were heading through customs to board their flight back to Chengdu, south-west China.

According to Chinese media, the group were scheduled to take flight VN718 operated by Vietnam Airlines at 21.10 on May 2 when the incident occurred.
In the first video, customs officers can be seen gathered around a man trying to drag him away before one officer beats him across the head.
People around him start shouting and screaming.
A woman thought to be the man's wife tries to intervene and they continue to fight.
By this point, more officers try to intervene.
One man who was travelling with his wife and four-year-old child refused to pay the bribe of 10 yuan (£1.06).
Customs officers then told him he would have to pay 100 yuan (£10.60) instead reports CCTV News.
According to Chinese media, some tourists became enraged singing the Chinese national anthem.

The Chinese consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City said it was speaking with those involved to investigate
In the second video filmed at the airport, the group can be seen gathering and shouting at the customs officers.
When one tourist gets out her phone, an officer pushes it away to try and stop her from filming.
One officer can be seen holding a stun gun and aiming it at the group who are now chanting.
The officers then gather together to discuss the situation.
In response to the incident and the footage released, the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City said on May 3 that it was speaking with the parties concerned to further understand what happened.
Part of the statement, posted on the consulate's official website, read: 'Staff at our consulate have started an emergency negotiation with the Vietnamese authorities.
'At the same time, [we] guide Chinese citizens to protect their rights sensibly while collecting relevant evidence.'
The statement said all Chinese citizens had returned to their country safely.
Located on the coast of southern Vietnam, Cam Ranh International Airport operates domestic flights as well as flights to countries including China, South Korea and Russia.
Chinese state-run Xinhua News Agency said that up to 789,500 Chinese tourists visited Vietnam in the first four months of this year.
MailOnline has reached out to the General Department of Vietnam Customs as well as the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism authority for comment, however they were not contactable at the time of writing.
MailOnline has also contacted Cam Ranh International Airport regarding the incident, and is awaiting a reply.
