Tottenham's Vedran Corluka targeted by Liverpool and Juventus after falling out of favour
Liverpool and Juventus have made enquiries for Vedran Corluka after Tottenham intimated he could leave White Hart Lane.
The Croatian international has hardly figured for Tottenham this season making just four appearances in the Barclays Premier League.
Harry Redknapp is looking to trim his squad before bringing in reinforcements this month and Corluka has become surplus to requirements following the improved form of Alan Hutton.
Heading out: Vedran Corluka is set to leave White Hart Lane
Liverpool are in a strong position to land the 24-year-old as Director of Football Strategy Damien Comolli signed Corluka for Tottenham in August 2008.
Roy Hodgson's faltering side need cover at right-back, given Glen Johnson's poor form, while the versatile Corluka could also play in a central position.
Serie A side Juventus are also looking to bolster their defence and have also placed Corluka high on their wishlist.
Meanwhile, Kyle Walker is in line for a dramatic Aston Villa debut at his first club Sheffield United on Saturday after arriving on loan from Tottenham. The 20-year old right-back passed a medical and put pen to paper on a season-long deal that will lift some of the gloom surrounding under-pressure Villa manager Gerard Houllier.
As an extra bonus Harry Redknapp has given his permission for Walker to play in the FA Cup, starting with this weekend's tricky third round tie at Bramall Lane.
