United teen sensation Januzaj is the one to watch, says Mourinho
Jose Mourinho has singled out Adnan Januzaj as the key threat for his team, with the Chelsea manager amazed at the progress of the Belgian teenager in his first season at Manchester United.
Januzaj, who has been the principal creative force for United in the absence of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, was man of the match last weekend as United laboured to win at home to Swansea.
Sensation: Belgian starlet Adnan Januzaj has been one of the bright spots in United's season
And Mourinho says the impact Januzaj has made this season is more like that of an experienced player than a youngster out of the academy.
'He's a fantastic player,' said Mourinho. 'He's not 18, he's 25. He is so mature and so comfortable, very good.
'I just think he's a very good player with great conditions to have a long career at United. I'm not in his life day by day but it looks like he has everything.'
Impressed: Jose Mourinho believes Adnan Januzaj is the complete package
Mourinho says Chelsea are working hard to replicate bringing teenagers through their academy - which has failed to occur in the first 10 years of Roman
Abramovich's reign. Mourinho said: 'You can see that since I left (in 2007), Chelsea didn't have really a player coming direct from the academy to the first team. John Terry was the last and it was before me.'
