Everton and Crystal Palace are watching Sochaux striker Karl Toko Ekambi. The 23-year-old Cameroon international is regarded as one of the best players in the French second division.
He scored 17 goals last year and has grabbed three so far this campaign.
Both Premier League sides sent scouts to watch Ekambi in Friday night's match at Le Havre and Sochaux will sell for around £2million.

Ekambi, who can also play on the left wing, has a French passport and is attracting attention from several French League clubs too including Lille and Lorient.
He has been compared in style to West Ham's Diafra Sakho and is represented by, Mark McKay of ExcelFoot.
McKay is the agent who took Dimitri Payet to West Ham and Idressa Gueye to Aston Villa.
