Watford interested in free agent Emmanuel Adebayor as Quique Sanchez Flores looks to strengthen attacking options in January
- Emmanuel Adebayor is a free agent after being released by Tottenham
- Watford, Aston Villa and West Ham all enquired about him last summer
- Hornets could offer Adebayor another Premier League chance in January
- The former Arsenal striker is keen to join a London club if possible
Watford are among the clubs weighing up the risk of offering Emmanuel Adebayor a route back into football.
Adebayor has been without a club since Tottenham cancelled the final year of his contract in September and he is keen to re-launch his career in the Barclays Premier League.
The 31-year-old can sign for another English club in January and is sure to attract interest if he can prove he is in the right physical and mental shape for the top flight.

Adebayor fell out of favour at Tottenham and is free to sign for a new club in the January transfer window
Watford, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and West Ham made enquiries in the summer, but at that time he still had to be bought out of the final year of his lucrative Spurs deal.
Adebayor realises he will not be able to command the six-figure weekly wage he was on at White Hart Lane.
He will also be expected to prove his fitness before anyone signs him, but is an attractive short-term option for any club in need of a goals boost, either to avoid relegation, lift them into a European place or bridge an injury crisis.

Adebayor rejected a move to Besiktas last summer and would prefer to join another London-based club
Watford are committed to first-choice strikers Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney but are interested in adding depth to this area of the squad. The idea may even appeal to Chelsea if they can wriggle out of the loan deal for Radamel Falcao.
Galatasaray are interested but Adebayor rejected Besiktas in the summer, and would prefer to stay in England and, if possible, in London.
