Queens Park Rangers and Fulham are locked in battle for highly-rated Birmingham boss Gary Rowett.
The west London rivals are searching for a new manager and both have Rowett on their shortlist.
Rowett is said to prefer a move to Craven Cottage over Loftus Road; but that has not stopped Rangers from pursuing the 41-year-old.

Even so, the manager may decide to turn down overtures from the London clubs to stay in the Midlands.
Birmingham are sixth in the Championship, occupying the last play-off spot and seven points adrift of the automatic promotion places.
And while he is likely to be handed a more substantial playing budget in west London; Rowett - who played for the Blues - is understood to be apprehensive about leaving upwardly mobile Birmingham.
