QPR have a 'wonderful Christmas time' as they perform festive Paul McCartney classic
- Queens Park Rangers set the bar when it comes to awful Christmas covers
- Championship side covered 'Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time'
- It is safe to say the Hoops ruined the Paul McCartney Christmas classic
- QPR will be hoping they don't gift Burnley any festive points this weekend
QPR have covered Paul McCartney's 'Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time' as part of their winter festivities – and it’s truly awful.
It’s not quite as bad as the defending in their final Premier League season, but nonetheless, it’s still pretty bad.
Many players look very, very awkward, whereas others, such as Jamie Mackie and Charlie Austin, really do look like they are having a ‘Wonderful Christmas Time’.
Striker Charlie Austin clearly enjoyed doing his bit for the Queens Park Rangers Christmas song this year
QPR attacker Tjaronn Chery was all smiles as he brought his singing voice out for the festive occasion
The QPR players were smiling but their cover of Paul McCartney's festive anthem was truly, truly awful
Leroy Fer, Tjaronn Chery and defender Grant Hall also do their bit in the video as they do their very best to make the cheesiest Christmas video in history.
Last Christmas, departed players such as Bobby Zamora and Shaun Wright-Phillips, ruined Slade’s ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’ alongside former manager Harry Redknapp.
Their 2014 version must’ve had dedicated QPR fans cringing throughout, but the 2015-16 crop have somehow managed to even out do that effort.
Jamie Mackie was a big fan of getting into the Christmas spirit and put in 100 per cent effort throughout
Armand Traore donned a fabulous red Christmas jumper complete with a QPR attired snowman as he sang
QPR face Burnley on Saturday and manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be hoping his side don’t gift their opponents any points while they are in the festive spirit.
The west London side currently sit in 12th place in the Championship - three points behind Cardiff City who fill the last play-off place.
And they will need to be in with a shot of promotion come January if they are to keep hold of star man Austin as Premier League clubs look to add goals to their sides in the transfer window.
