Team News
Liverpool
Liverpool are still deep in an injury crisis with Joe Gomez (knee), Jordan Henderson (knee), Divock Origi (ankle), Danny Ings (knee) all remaining out. Jon Flanagan's return from a long-term absence means Klopp is also handling his return sensitively. Mamadou Sakho's doping ban means he is also unavailable.
However Emre Can (ankle) may return and the remaining fit players should also be fresh after taking a watching brief during the weekend defeat at Swansea.
Probable line-up: Mignolet; Clyne, Toure, Lovren, Moreno; Milner, Lucas, Allen; Coutinho, Firmino Sturridge.
Villarreal
Eric Bailly and Leo Baptistao have both recovered from the injuries that kept them on the sidelines during the 2-0 weekend win over Valencia that saw Villarreal secure a top-four finish.
The Yellow Submarines rested a number of key players at the Mestalla. Mario, Victor Ruiz, Denis Suarez, Bruno Soriano and top scorer Cedric Bakambu were all excused to keep them fresh for the crucial trip to Anfield.
Probable line-up: Areola; Mario, Bailly, Ruiz, Costa; Santos, Soriano, Suarez, Trigueros; Soldado, Bakambu.
