Preston North End have no intention of being the FA Cup's next Championship drop-outs.
On a weekend where many second-tier teams made big changes and looked to be in second gear — 12 of them are already out — Alex Neil's team ran riot at Wycombe.
Sure, Neil switched up his side too. But this is a club already stating their FA Cup intentions, led by their manager.
Alex Neil has got the taste for an FA Cup run after Preston booked a spot in the fourth round
The former Norwich City boss has never made it past round three as a player or a manager in a 19-year footballing career and now he has the taste to go further.
'I think the FA Cup's a fantastic Cup. I didn't have a good record in it up until this weekend so I wanted to make sure we changed that, and we did,' Neil said.
'We want a Cup run.' It is an attitude reflected in his players. Asked to consider who he would want in Monday's fourth-round draw, Saturday's star man Daryl Horgan ditched the usual talk of a trip to Old Trafford or the Etihad.
'No-one wants to have that — "Oh, you had that great 2-1 loss against Man City, Man United or whatever",' he said.
'You want to compete and you want to get as far as you possibly can. If it turns out we get one of the big teams, we'll try to get an upset.' Horgan scored Preston's third at Adams Park, with Alan Browne and Josh Harrop scoring a brace each as they overpowered League Two Wycombe.
'It's a great opportunity,' Horgan added. You can play the bigger sides, you can get a run, it reinvigorates the city, it gets everyone on side, it's the opportunity to potentially go to Wembley.
'The longer you keep that dream alive the better it can be for everyone.'
