Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has praised Arsenal's appointment of Unai Emery as the club's new manager.
The 46-year-old Emery, who left Paris Saint-Germain this summer after two years in Ligue 1, replaces Arsene Wenger as boss at the Emirates Stadium on a three-year contract worth £5million a year.
Guardiola is a known admirer after the Spaniard guided Valencia into the Champions League and won three straight Europa League titles with Sevilla.

'His career speaks for itself, did it perfect in Spain with many teams – Valencia, Sevilla - and did it really well in France,' Guardiola told Sky Sports.
'Welcome to England, another good manager is coming here.'
Guardiola was speaking at Wentworth golf club, where he is playing the Pro-Am tournament alongside Tommy Fleetwood ahead of this week's BMW PGA Championship.
He was out playing a round of 18 with Fleetwood in April when City were crowned title winners via Manchester United losing against West Brom.
'I found out (United had lost) when I was in the car when I was going back home,' Guardiola said.
But the City boss is not expecting himself to be as slick around Wentworth's West Course as he once was on the football pitch.
'Bad as always,' he joked when asked about the state of his golf game.
'No, they invite me and always a pleasure. In summer time, I try to play golf, I love this game and they invite me. It is close to Manchester so we come down and enjoy the day.
Guardiola said he tries to play golf as much as he can outside of the football season

'Now is time to rest, to enjoy what we have done this season and prepare for the next one.
'Football is a new challenge. Always the good athletes, teams, forget what they have done and think what they have to do again.'
Guardiola attended a dinner at Wentworth on Tuesday night alongside Fleetwood. There, he met Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola, who is also playing in the Pro-Am alongside Ian Poulter, Alan Shearer and Ian Wright.
