Former champion Rory McIlroy admits consistency will be key as he seeks to claim a second BMW PGA Championship title.
McIlroy won the title in 2014 but has missed the cut in four of his eight appearances at Wentworth, which has undergone a major renovation since his last start three years ago.
'It's good to be back having not been here for the last couple of years,' McIlroy told a pre-tournament press conference. 'It didn't fit in my schedule in 2016 and I was injured last year but I like the golf course.

'I think they've made some great changes and it's shaping up to be a good week and I did some good work on my swing in Florida last week.
'The win at Bay Hill (in the Arnold Palmer Invitational) was great and playing my way into the final group at Augusta was great as well, but I've had three missed cuts so I feel like it's been a bit inconsistent.
'If I can just get my game a bit more consistent that would be a step in the right direction.'
