Georgia Hall believes the UK's best women golfers have been given a wonderful platform as they become the first elite level female athletes to return to competition at the ASI Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club today.
The event is the perfect warm-up for the women's Open at Royal Troon next week and also marks the return of international sport to Scotland.
'I think we've got a great opportunity here to showcase women's golf in general, especially as a lot of sports aren't happening yet,' said the 24 year old from Bournemouth, who won the women's Open in unforgettable style at Royal Lytham two years ago.

'If we can get some home-based players on the leaderboard then hopefully the younger generation can tune in and watch us on television. It's a shame the fans can't come to either event but it's great they can at least see us on TV. It's a chance for us to show how good we are, but it's just great for golf in general to be back.'
Hall is confident there will not be any Covid-19 breaches of the kind that have embarrassed Scottish football.
A charter plane brought many of the top Americans over on Monday and all the players have gone straight into the strict protocol routine, where everything is out of bounds bar the golf course and hotel.
