LIVE: Follow the action as divisional rivals 49ers and Seahawks clash for chance to meet Denver in the Super Bowl
San Francisco @ Seattle (11pm)
NFC Conference Championships
CenturyLink Field
Seattle, Washington
Divisional rivals meet in the NFC championship game as the NFC West's 49ers and Seahawks will play for the chance to meet the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium.
This one is a tale of two young, exciting quarterbacks as Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick meet for the third time this season.
The teams won a game each during the season, both at home, and Seattle have lost just one game at CenturyLink Filed since Wilson took the helm.
Pete Carroll's Seattle are a powerful team and are a lot of people's favourites to win the whole thing. That is based on their monster of a running game, utilising Marshawn 'Beast Mode' Lynch' and near-impregnable defence lead by the legion of boom.
The 49ers are looking for a second Super Bowl in a row, with Jim Harbaugh's team rolling in this year's play-offs, having already beaten Green Bay and Carolina on the road.
Kaepernick has shaken off some early season struggles to rise to the fore, while Frank Gore and Vernon Davis remain elite threats.
San Francisco's defence is also among the elite, so expect a tight game in Washington.

What an unbelievable finish to a brilliant game, Richard Sherman has the last laugh, and the best defence in the league will face the best offence in the NFL at the MetLife Stadium in two weeks.
Thanks for tuning in!
Seattle are going to the Super Bowl!
Unbelievable! Kaepernick goes deep towards Crabtree and Richard Sherman gets a hand on it to bat it towards Malcolm Smith who grabs it and falls into the endzone
That's the game!
Another first down, this time to vernon Davis, and San Fran are inside the 20.
Kaep makes the same throw that was intercepted to Michael Crabtree, who catches for a 16 yard gain.
They take a timeout, there are 55 seconds left.
Huge first down to Frank Gore on a 4th and 2!
The officials put a second on the clock just before that play as well so we are now at the two minute warning.
We're at the 2 minute warning.
Coach Harbaugh has to go for it, he has three timeouts to Seattle's one.
Hauschka remains perfect, nailing his third field goal from 47 yards.
Golden Tate winds and wiggles his way for 10 yards.
Kam Chancellor follows Colin Kaepernick the whole way and that's a poor throw from the quarterback!
A reprieve for the Seahawks, they start on the 40.
Kendall Hunter bursts forward for an 11 yard gain, nice run.
Seattle had a chance at 4th and goal to get into the endzone but the hand-off from Wilson to Lynch is poor and the running back never has it.
Seattle recover the fumble but it's a turnover on downs anyway.
Seattle start at the six, get a yard but are then handed a 5-yard penalty for a false start. Wilson then throws an incomplete pass to Golden Tate before Wilson completes to Kearse who fumbles to Bowman.
However, Bowman was injured on the play and it's unclear who recovered the ball.
Colin Kaepernick loses the ball! Seattle recover!
Rolling to the left again Kaep doesn't see Cliff Avril coming on his blind side he wallops the quarterback's arm and it takes a favourable bounce to give the Seahawks possession at the 6.
Kaepernick rolls out to the left and fires at Anquan Boldin who pics up enough yards.
On 4th and 7 the Seahawks go for it, the kicking team was out but Pete Carroll takes a timeout and changes his mind.
Russell Wilson sees a flag called so goes deep and Jermaine Kearse rises highest to complete a 35 yard touchdown. Great catch.
Doug Baldwin has been Wilson's favoured target tonight, and he goes over 100 yards with a 13 yard completion.
Marshawn Lynch runs up the middle for two 5-yard runs.
Hauschka nails another one through the middle of the posts from 40 yards. Two redzone trips for Seattle and they've only mustered six points.
Wilson then finds Golden Tate on the left hand side for 13 yards.
Lynch goes for four yards on the next play and they're 16 yards from the endzone.
Doug Baldwin takes the return a full 69 yards and Seattle have a brilliant starting position on the 33-yard line.
That was a season long for this team.
Beautiful, if it a little risky, throw by Kaepernick and Anquan Boldin gathers it in in the back of the endzone. The quarterback stepped out of the pocket and although Chancellor gets a fingertap on it it's just too high
Kaepernick is sacked and the ball squeezes out, but it's picked up by 49ers centre Goodwin.
Kaep then springs to the left for another 22 yards, and San Fran are inside 30 yards.
Great catch and throw from Kaep to Crabtree for 22 yards, the longest completion of the day for the visitors.
Backup running back Kendall Hunter takes the 49ers to the 28 yard line.
Lynch goes all the way from 40 yards out!
BEAST MODE ACTIVATED!
Marshawn Lynch goes for his biggest gain of the day, 11 yards right up the middle.
Two incomplete passes and a Frank Gore rush that loses yardage and Seattle has the ball back.
Some great pressure up front from Seattle.
Dangerous throw from Kaep to Michael Crabtree gets 12 yards, but that was into double coverage.
The 49ers return to the 21 yard line.
Huge call by the referees and it's an automatic first down for the Seahawks.
Jim Harbaugh is going crazy at that call, they may have had a chance to pull off a couple of plays but as it is Seattle take a knee and it's half-time.
On 3rd down Wilson connects with Doug Baldwin for a 9 yard completion, that was a really good catch.
Marshawn Lynch finally gets a bit of forward momentum going for 7 yards then 3 yards to keep the chains moving.
Excellent defensive series for the Seahawks. Pro Bowl guard Mike Iupati was out of the offensive line for the 49ers and it showed as Seattle were able to get more pressure on Kaepernick.
Steven Hauschka is good from 32 yards.
Seattle are now at the 11 yard line but Wilson is sacked on 1st down for a loss of five yards.
What a play by Russell Wilson!
The quarterback has nowhere to go, moves around in the pocket and is almost brought down twice, but he then unleashes a 51 yard bomb straight into the arms of Doug Baldwin.
The Seahawks finally get past the marker as Wilson's No 1 target Golden Tate makes the 4 yard completion.
Jim Harbaugh goes for the exact same call... but this time Anthony Dixon isn't stopped on the goalline and the 49ers are up by 10.
The Seahawks need to find some offence now.
That Kaepernick 58 yard burst was the longest against Seattle this season.
No touchdown and the 49ers go for it.
Dixon leaps over the pile to score... but it looks close so it's going to be reviewed.
Huge gain for Kaepernick!
He looks to pass but scrambles all the way to the 10 yard line for a huge 58 yard gain.
Somehow Kam Chancellor catches up to him to make the touchdown saving tackle.
That puts Kaep on 98 yards rushing already.
Colin Kaepernick scrambles and just evades Bobby Wagner's grip to slide for the 1st down.
Seattle's defence does well but on third down Richard Sherman is flagged for holding, that's a 10 yard penalty and automatic 1st down
The punt is fumbled by James but when he gets up after a big hit he's relieved to see a team-mate has fallen on the ball
Navarro Bowman sacks Russell Wilson for an 11 yard loss, great play by the Pro Bowl linebacker.
Wilson breaks the pocket again and finds Marshawn Lynch with a pass, he wiggles and is past the first down .
But a holding call is played so the Seahawks lose 10 yards.
Donte Whitner is called for a hit on Whitner and Seattle are at midfield.
That seems like an unfair call, it looked bad but it was shoulder to shoulder.
Russell Wilson breaks the pocket and floats a ball to Doug Baldwin - 49ers defender Eric Reid extends and the ball goes through his fingers, that was almost picked!
A penalty on Aldon Smith gains 5 yards and they give it to Lynch another couple of times who just about makes it past the marker.
Andy Lee gets hold of that one and it takes a great bounce falling dead at the 1 yard line.
No they don't. They try and draw Seattle into false starting but the Seahawks don't bite and the 49ers get called for delay of game.
Big gain on the ground for the quarterback this time, as Kaep picks up 17 yards.
On the next play Red Bryant gets great penetration to stop Frank Gore for a 1 yard loss.
Colin Kaepernick rolls out to Vance McDonald who pics up 13 yards.
Seahawks give the ball back, Miller gets 8 yards on a pass from Russell Wilson but Marshawn Lynch is stuffed on back to back plays and the Seahawks give it away.
You have to give the Seahawks credit on those three plays, fantastic tackling.
Gore runs for 2 yards and then Crabtree gets only two on second down. Kaepernick then tries to run on third down and is hammered.
Brilliant job by the Seattle defence to keep it at a field goal.
Seattle get off to the worst possible start!
Aldon Smith strips Russell Wilson and has the presence of mind to dive on it, 49ers recover!
We're underway in Seattle!
The Seahawks get the ball first after a touchback.
After Peyton Manning booked his place in his third Super Bowl, NFC West rivals the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers meet.
Expect a lot fewer yards through the air in this one as both teams look to get their feature backs, Marshawn Lynch and Frank Gore, going.
Both teams possess strong defences so this one could be a real battle of wills.
