Thomas Aiken leads the way during sombre Madrid Open
Thomas Aiken, of South Africa, extended his lead at a windswept Spanish Open on a day overshadowed by the death of Seve Ballesteros.
Aiken, 27, led by two shots before today's final round after a 72 left him eight under.
He said he was spurred on by major wins by fellow South Africans Louis Oosthuizen (The Open) and Charl Schwartzel (US Masters).
'I've grown up with Louis and what he did has made us all work harder,' he said.
