Opening up: Mel and husband Steve Pollock wed in November 2014 in Byron Bay but split several months ago
'I swiped right on 10 guys in total and received an instant message from all of them but this instantly felt wrong.
'It mainly felt wrong because I’d forgotten how to flirt and what the hell do we chat about late at night on a Friday night and can I handle 10 fake conversations?'
The radio personality announced she and husband Steve Pollock have split after just over a year of marriage two weeks ago.
Split: The Australian radio and television presenter announced she and her husband parted after just over a year of marriage on Studio 10
Appearing on Channel Ten's Studio 10 programme, she confessed: 'I am separated from my husband now,' she revealed before adding Steve needed time 'to rediscover himself as an individual'.
She continued: 'It's been a couple of months that I've been dealing with that in private and because I have been so open about my endometriosis and my battle, it's hard when people ask you how's the baby-making going, when's he moving to Wollongong?'
'So now I just need to put it out there and say "this is what's happening".
'He's not moving to Wollongong. There are no babies on the way and we're going to deal with it in private, the best we can.'

Having only positive things to say about him, she went on: 'Steven was absolutely my rock and fought for me for so long through the toughest battle of our life and he now needs to look out for himself.
'He wants to rediscover himself as an individual. He wants to follow his passions, and I don't hate him for that. It's absolutely fair, he deserves it.'
The break-up news for Mel and Steve, who tied the knot in November 2014, comes after she took to Instagram last month, telling followers: 'I'm going through a hard time at the moment, life is tough sometimes and that's the reality'.

Long-term relationship: The couple had met each other almost four years before they tied the knot
In January this year Mel bid her husband goodbye as she boarded a plane for Wollongong to begin her new job on the Wave FM Breakfast Show.
'I refuse to say goodbye, I can't bare [sic] the thought of us being apart,' she wrote on Instagram alongside a selfie of herself and 29-year-old Steve on their way to the airport.
The infamous 'royal prank DJ' and her footy player hubby had decided to attempt a long-distance relationship now that their respective careers are keeping them apart.
No bad blood: Having only positive things to say about him, she added on Studio 10, 'Steven was absolutely my rock and fought for me for so long through the toughest battle of our life'
'He's very committed to his job so we'll do a long-distance relationship and see how that goes,' she told The Advertiser in December.

Mel expressed her excitement about making her big radio comeback in an interview with the Daily Mail Australia recently.
'After three years, a long and hard battle, I am finally back in radio,' she said.
'There is something more to me and I do have something to offer and I have been given an incredible opportunity and I intend to make the most of that and show people exactly what I can offer,' she added.
The outspoken star famously lost her career in 2012 while working on 2DayFM when she and co-host Michael Christian posed as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles and made a prank call to the UK.
Career comeback: Mel first returned to the spotlight last year thanks to a stint on Channel 9's The Celebrity Apprentice
The duo called a London hospital where the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, was staying as she suffered morning sickness while pregnant with Prince George.
The call resulted in nurse and mother Jacintha Saldana taking her own life two days later, and she left a note mentioning the hosts.
The fallout left Mel unable to secure another job in broadcasting, and at one time death threats against her were so severe that she had to hire a bodyguard.
