Immigrant charged after NSW cannabis bust
An illegal immigrant will face a Sydney court after he was allegedly caught with hundreds of cannabis plants worth more than $850,000 in the city's west.
The 26-year-old was allegedly carrying 11 small cannabis plants in boxes when police interviewed him at a home on Leonello Place, Endensor Park, on Wednesday afternoon.
It's further alleged 246 cannabis plants were found during a search of the home.
The man, who police say is an illegal immigrant, was taken to Fairfield Police Station and charged with a string of offences including possessing, cultivating and supplying a prohibited plant.
He's expected to appear before Fairfield Local Court on Thursday.
