Abortion protesters target NSW Parliament
Pro- and anti-abortion activists have descended on NSW Parliament ahead of debate on a divisive bill that would create "safe zones" around abortion clinics.
The proposed legislation, which was introduced last week, would create a 150m exclusion zone around clinics and make it an offence to film staff and patients without their consent.
"We are just having a presence to show the overwhelming community support there is for this bill that's being debated in the NSW Parliament - it will protect women from unnecessary abuse and harassment," Fair Agenda spokeswoman Alycia Gawthorne told AAP at the rally on Thursday.
