China says U.S. should not interfere in legal handling of cases
BEIJING, Oct 12 (Reuters) - China protects individual rights and the U.S. should not interfere in the legal handling of cases by China's authorities, the foreign ministry said on Thursday.
Spokesperson Wang Wenbin made the remarks in addressing a question during a regular press briefing on the U.S. State Department calling on China to provide information regarding the whereabouts and condition of Lu Siwei, a Chinese human rights lawyer whose family has said he was sent back to China from Laos.
