Giants acquire LB Ogletree from Rams for draft picks

The Los Angeles Rams traded linebacker Alec Ogletree to the New York Giants on Wednesday.

According to reports, the Giants gave up their fourth- and sixth-round draft picks this spring in return for Ogletree and the Rams' seventh-round selection in 2019.

Ogletree was a first-round pick out of Georgia in 2013 and started all but one game he appeared in for the Rams since. He missed 12 games in 2015 due to injuries.

Ogletree, 26, recorded 95 tackles, two sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception last season.

He became expendable as the Rams began calculating how to manage his $10 million cap hit for the 2018 season.
