[edit]brain death (Q223867), cell death (Q2383867) --Fractaler (talk) 07:39, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Fractaler:
- Common definition of death is about living organisms or creatures as whole, so subclass of is not exactly appropriate here
- Brain can be dead but other organs can be removed and transplanted.
- But they imply Q23956356 event. d1g (talk) 17:34, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Fractaler: so, death (Q22299430) P279 Q4 is not the most precise claim - if you meant this d1g (talk) 17:59, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
Description
[edit]permanent cessation of vital functions of a cell? Or body? Or brain? Or population? Or biosphere? --Fractaler (talk) 18:31, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Fractaler: it should be "body" first indeed: of a person or organism
- If one cell is dead (Q2383867) it doesn't follow that organism is dead (maybe Q4): regeneration and regrowth is present in many organisms.
- we should create specific items about related events and stances. d1g (talk) 18:47, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- cell is a 1-cell organism. There are also superorganism. --Fractaler (talk) 18:53, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- "cell is a 1-cell organism"
- Not about current claims at cell (Q7868)
- Q7868 is very indirectly related to cadaver (Q48422) or body (Q170494); It is easier to claim in opposite direction d1g (talk) 19:02, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- Ideally we should have a separate subclass of body (Q170494) (or maybe organism (Q7239)) per every taxa
- Then it would be easier to claim their parts as "nervous system" or just "cells" d1g (talk) 19:19, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- unicellular organism (Q36468) - organism --Fractaler (talk) 19:22, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- Actually a good note, in this case death of one cell = death of body
- This is another example why we shouldn't state P279 in any direction between death of one cell ? death of body.
- This P279 claim heavily depends on taxa. d1g (talk) 00:39, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Confusion about properties
[edit]properties for this type (P1963) on this item indicates which properties can be used on instances (or subclasses). This would be location/point in time, not the properties in use on the items about people. Hope this clarifies it.
