Jharkhand Assembly Election schedule 2024

The Election Commission of India (EC) on October 15 announced the upcoming Jharkhand Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) election dates. As per EC's announcement, the Assembly elections in Jharkhand will be held in two phases on November 13, and November 20, 2024. The counting of the votes will be done on November 23, 2024. The Jharkhand elections will be held for 81 assembly seats. The last date for nomination process for first phase is October 25, and for second phase is October 29.

In the Tribal-dominated state, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and CM Hemant's Soren Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) are in a direct fight, while the Congress party and Lalu Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) are in alliance with the JMM.
