Bill Belichick's 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson snaps back at claims coach isn't committed to UNC

Jordon Hudson, the 24-year-old girlfriend of North Carolina head football coach Bill Belichick, has clapped back at claims the coach isn't committed to staying in Chapel Hill.

Belichick has been rumored to be connected with a number of open NFL jobs - including a potential reunion with his former quarterback, Tom Brady, with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Adding fuel to that fire was a recent report that Belichick has yet to officially sign his contract at UNC.

Hudson calmed the concerns of Tar Heel football fans by posting an image of her arm-in-arm with the 72-year-old while holding a football with the UNC logo stamped on it.

The caption to the post read, 'Pictured: two people who are overtly committed to @uncfootball.'

While Hudson's words indicate that the coach has no intents of leaving the ACC football program high and dry, Belichick's reported actions tell a different story.

At the height of the NFL coaching carousel, Belichick has not put pen to paper on the contract he needs to sign to become UNC's football coach, per CBS.

Belichick has only signed a term sheet, not an actual binding contract itself, which could lead to a grey area if the former Browns and Patriots head coach looks to make a jump back to the pro ranks.

While the eight-time Super Bowl champion appears happy coaching in college - and even openly dismissed a return to the NFL in his introductory press conference at North Carolina - that doesn't mean that pro teams will stop trying to gague Belichick's interest.

UNC football general manager Michael Lombardi even said the coach is in the DMV area and that Belichick's 'focus is on North Carolina football' and that 'the NFL isnt an option so please stop making it one.'

But a seventh NFL coaching vacancy opened up this offseason when the Dallas Cowboys announced they were parting ways with Mike McCarthy.

Belichick was reportedly interested in the Dallas job, despite the potential for butting heads with owner and de facto general manager Jerry Jones.

If Belichick were to depart for the NFL, it would be a question of what money would be owed to UNC.

The un-signed contract stipulates that the university would receive $10million from an NFL team if Belichick was hired before June 1. Afterwards, the release drops to just $1million.

Belichick had been without a coaching gig for nearly a full year after he announced his departure from New England at the end of the 2023 season.

His replacement, Jerod Mayo, only lasted one season before being fired. Mayo has been replaced by former Patriots player and ex-Titans head coach Mike Vrabel.

In addition to the Cowboys and Raiders, there are vacancies with the New York Jets, Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and Jacksonville Jaguars that need to be resolved.
