Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai reveals why she's 'stressed' ahead of his inauguration

Kai Trump admits she is 'a little stressed' ahead of her grandfather's inauguration next week as she is still yet to pick up an outfit for the big day.

President-elect Donald Trump's swearing-in ceremony is set for January 20 at the Capitol, just over two months since his resounding election win over Kamala Harris.

And as she prepares to attend the seismic event, Trump's 17-year-old granddaughter Kai has revealed she is slightly anxious after leaving her outfit planning until the very last minute.

In a video on her YouTube channel, the aspiring golfer said: 'I don't normally get nervous for certain things, but the inauguration... I'm not nervous, I'm just like excited. I have the butterflies in my stomach like I'm looking forward to it.

'But I'm a little stressed that I didn't pick up an outfit in advance and now I'm like, "Oh! Last minute, gotta go to the dry cleaners."

'But besides that I'm honestly not that stressed.'

Trump will be sworn in as president for a second time with former U.S. leaders and their spouses watching on, including Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

Laura Bush and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will join their husbands for the ceremony at the Capitol, yet Michelle Obama is not attending for reasons which remain unclear.

Regardless, it will mark a historic day for the Trump family as Donald takes control of the White House again after his crushing victory in the polls back in November.

And Kai cannot wait to see her grandfather run the rule over the country again.

'I'm really happy he won obviously,' she added later in the video. 'For America and I think for our family I think it's just so important that he won.

'I think these next four years are going to be the best four years America has had in a very long time.

'I'm so happy for him on the inside. I'm so happy that our family gets to do this again.'
