Corrections and clarifications

Claire van Kampen | Jean-Paul Sartre

In some early editions, an obituary of the composer, playwright and director Claire van Kampen (22 January, Journal, p6) gave the date of her death as “25 January”. This should have said 18 January.

An article about the artist Hélène de Beauvoir referred to the philosopher and writer Jean-Paul Sartre hiding at her home after he “rejected his Nobel peace prize”. It was the Nobel prize in literature that he was awarded and declined (‘Hélène’s story blew my mind’, 21 January, G2, p8).
