Single, rich and can't find love on Tinder? This New York matchmaker promises her clients six months' worth of dates for $15,000
New Yorkers who are tired of online dating and have $15,000 to spare now have the option of hiring a popular matchmaker.
Amy Van Doran charges such a hefty sum in order to find her clients six months' worth of dates chosen from her rolodex of 5,000 single men and women. However, those simply interested in being a potential match for her clients can fill out a form on her website for free.
Ms Van Doran, who is 29 and has not yet married herself, recently told New York Magazine that she makes a point of taking on 'outliers', which she describes as women over 30.

One of her current 18 clients is a 30-something creative director who is seeking a suitably successful man.
'This is the problem of being so amazing. It’s hard to find good people,' Ms Van Doran said as she scrolled through her rolodex. 'This guy tends to go for younger women … This guy is just too much of an opposite to attract.'
Last year, she told the New York Post that her recruiting process included distributing business cards at popular venues such as Whole Foods, MoMA and the New York Public Library.
'I usually ask dudes whether they want to meet a fabulous woman,' she said.
While some choosier clients prefer to go on just one date a month, others go one one or two dates a week.
Ms Van Doran started her matchmaking service in 2009 after setting up single friends as a hobby.

'My favorite thing in the world is meeting new people. I have always had a weird preoccupation with my friends' love lives, and matchmaking is just something that I just did - somehow, along the way, it just became my career,' she told Glamour in 2012.
While her clients change from season to season, she described her niche as 'artsy' and 'hip' singles - and she only takes on clients she thinks she can 'realistically help'.
'I get a ton of emails a week. If there is someone that sparks my interest, I will schedule a meeting. I will listen to a person and take notes on his or her needs and wants,' she said.
She then proposes a plan that may include services such as image consulting and romantic coaching, in addition to actual dates.
Ms Van Doran told MailOnline that the biggest lesson she's learned is that 'you can't control everything'.
'It's not my job to make people fall in love, it's my job to meet people,' she said. 'A person is going to meet their match when they are open and ready.'
